If what we're working on right now with the Bima array succeeds, a scientist who is not an expert in interferometry will be able to access an interferometer, take high-resolution data with high spectral resolution and high spatial resolution, reduce the data, and walk away with his science completed without having to spend years of tedious training in order to do this.
