Venus: A Radar View. Caption & Credits
These color-coded views of Venus, obtained from radar mapping done by the Pioneer Orbiter, reveal the surface of the planet to consist of a large rolling "plain" (covering 60%) with two main "continents." While there is little evidence for moving crustal
plates, there may still be a number of active volcanoes on Venus.
