Head-on Collision of Two Black Holes
Close-up of "Photon Torpedoes"
The two black hole collision is shown again, this time with a series of
photons emitted from various points between the two holes. The fact that
all photons escape from the system shows that there is no event horizon
(which would trap the photons) surrounding the two holes at the initial
time.
