Single, Non-Rotating, Distorted Black Hole
High amplitude disturbance: timeline and apparent horizon
As before the horizon history diagram records the evolution of the black hole's
geometry. After a brief tumultuous beginning, a regular pattern of oscillation
is revealed. The checkerboard pattern of the previous calculation is replaced
by a complex yet periodic patter of curvature. In spite of the complexity of the
oscillation, the fundamental period is still about seventeen M.
