And so, by using techniques called sonification to take the three-dimensional data and pass it through various sonic filters, one is able to understand the features of a dataset or a supercomputer calculation that you would miss with just visual data. The
most powerful is when you combine both of these together and you have interactive visual and sonic feedback in a coherent environment.
