This Roman Period Egyptian mummy was subjected to many non-destructive scientific tests to find out as much as possible about the human inside the wrappings. Social and material scientists worked together to use modern technology to unlock the secrets of the mummy.

The visualization lab at the Beckman Institute used the scientific data, a cyberscanner and Alias software to begin work on an animated video. The scenario is of the mummy waking up inside a virtual museum surrounded by Egyptian artifacts and having flashbacks to a town in Roman Egypt.
