read/write failed

Hi,    
    I am getting the following error :
Write failed: Operation not permitted 
when running a iperf udp session with the -t option to a server.

The server stops midway through a connection without any error or message.

    The following information might help to troubleshoot ...
    I have a multi-hop wireless network (connections are extremely flaky). 
I have a udp iperf server running on each machine. A client on all 
machines setups udp sessions to every other machine. A server does not 
handle more than one request at any time. I am using the iperf libc2.3 
binary and the server and clients run either on linux red hat 9.0 or a 
debian installation.

    Please let me know what the problem is. The iperf error i am getting 
is preventing me from running the whole setup in an automated fashion.
