Moreover, I suppose trying to test/stress some "wire" while going
through a multi-hop path is quite uncommon. Even in this seldom case,
the wire is hopefully the bottleneck in the path, else you won't be
able to fully stress it. And if the wire you are interested in is the
bottleneck in the path indeed, then the user can easily compute the
amount of headers "by hand" on this specific wire and just ignore
the rest of the path.
