> I am very pleased with iperf. It was easy to find information, and to
download, build and run it to diagnose a network problem. The web site is
straight-forward to navagate, with key information easy to find. The build
is simple and running it pretty easy. Thank you. But I wanted to mention
a documentation problem. No where that I noticed does it mention that the
test data transfer goes from client to server. Even using the -r option,
it is not clear which direction the data is going for each test. Nor is
there an option to reverse the normal direction (such an option would
explain which direction is normal, eg, -p pull data server to client
instead of the normal client to server). All you really need is a simple
statement in the -h and/or on the web page saying that iperf transfers data
from client to server to measure network speed. This is just a suggestion,
but I thought I'd mention it. - Wayne -
