Hello
I run Iperf version 1.7.0 in 2 PC´s with 100
Mbps cards, connected using a crossover cable. Both got Windows XP. When I
try to run commands like -m, -M or -w, they dont work.
It looks like Windows doesn´t allow to
read MSS (Maximun Segment Size) because I get this message when I use -m to
do so:
MSS
and MTU size unknown (TCP_MAXSEG not supported by OS?)
So to determine this parameter, I captured with Ethereal TCP
data generated with Iperf . MSS value is always 1460 B and it can´t be
changed by - M.
A similar situation happens with TCP window size. It looks
like Windows sets it in 64 KB and doesn´t allow Iperf to change it using -w. I
also checked this capturing data with Ethereal.
Has anybody gotten results like this? or I´m doing something
wrong?
Thanks,
Rosanna
