limit on the TCP window size ?

Hi,

When i run a simple client server test with a requested window size of 1M ( 
anything greater then 256k ) i get a message saying that the

allocated window size is 256k ... requested 1M.

Is this the max window size that iperf can allocate or do i have to configure 
something ?
