RE: support ipv6 link-local addresses

Linux 2.6.4, RedHat 9 modified to support 2.6.

Iperf version 1.7.0.

Global IPv6 works fine. It is only link-local that appears to have a
problem. Link-local addresses need to have an interface specified for
connect(), since routing the address is not sufficient to determine the
outbound interface.

What platform? What iperf version?

I recall using them a while ago with FreeBSD when I was tweaking
1.x (6?) for ipv6, but I haven't tried them recently. We do
use iperf all the time (2.x mostly now I think, but also 1.7) on
Linux RH9 with global ipv6 addresses...
