Hello all,
I am using the basic functions of Iperf to test udp
transfers between switches.
I have one laptop connected at 100 mbps to switch 1, a gigabit fibre link to another switch where I connect a 2nd laptop running iperf at 100 mbps. Laptop 1 is running iperf using the command "iperf -s -u -w 64k" while laptop 2 is running "iperf -c 192.168.0.1 -u -b 95M -w 64k -i 1" The transfer kicks off fine but I then get the following result "[ ID] Interval
Transfer Bandwidth
[1952] 0.0- 1.0 sec 11.1 MBytes 92.9 Mbits/sec [1952] 1.0- 2.0 sec 11.3 MBytes 94.8 Mbits/sec [1952] 2.0- 3.0 sec 11.2 MBytes 93.9 Mbits/sec [1952] 3.0- 4.0 sec 11.3 MBytes 94.8 Mbits/sec [1952] 4.0- 5.0 sec 11.3 MBytes 94.8 Mbits/sec [1952] 5.0- 6.0 sec 11.4 MBytes 95.7 Mbits/sec [1952] 6.0- 7.0 sec 11.2 MBytes 93.8 Mbits/sec [1952] 7.0- 8.0 sec 11.3 MBytes 94.8 Mbits/sec [1952] 8.0- 9.0 sec 11.4 MBytes 95.7 Mbits/sec [1952] 9.0-10.0 sec 11.3 MBytes 94.8 Mbits/sec [1952] 0.0-10.0 sec 113 MBytes 94.6 Mbits/sec [1952] WARNING: did not receive ack of last datagram after 10 tries. [1952] Sent 80452 datagrams" Why am i getting this error, when I do the same test with the two laptops
and a cross over cable it completes.
Any ideas, sorry if this has been covered in the past. Cheers
Lee
