Subject: Large difference in bandwidth
Question/Comment:
I ran the windows based version 1.7 iperf program accross windows XP workstations connected on each end of the country via an OC-3. I also ran the program between two workstations on each site. When the program was used locally, I could max out at approxiamtely 95Mbits per worstation. When I tried to go workstation to workstation over the OC-3, I could go one way (west to east) using TCP at 256K to 1024K up to 35 Mb to 50Mb bandwidth, but going the other way on the return test, my bandwidth would only go between 2 - 4 Mb. Do you have any ideas why, or further documentation that may explain my issues.
