Re: iperf with multicasting



You don't need IGMP at all to send multicast traffic - just send it.

You will need something to signal that you want to receive it (eg, IGMP).

Windows XP will support IGMPv2 and v3 in a compatible way.  Most interest 
in v3 seems to come from the desire for SSM (source specific 
multicast).  Not sure
if iperf supports SSM.  It's a simple change and it would be nice.
